The setting for Eric Kripke’s upcoming spinoff series Gen V is Godolkin University. The studio unveiled the first trailer for their newest series set in the world of The Boys at Prime Video’s panel at CCXP this afternoon, and as you would have anticipated, it’s just as bizarre and gory as you were hoping for. The in-world Vought International social media account gave followers a peek inside the “comfortable environment” they built for the upcoming heroes a few months ago, but the trailer gives viewers a lot more information about this spinoff series.

The first Gen V clip, which is set to Royal Deluxe’s “I’m Gonna Do My Thing,” depicts the blood and glory of attending Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, which is run by Vought International. The television show will examine the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they strain their moral, sexual, and physical boundaries while vying for the top spot at their school. Who doesn’t enjoy a good fight-to-the-death scenario with evil puppets à la The Hunger Games?

Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Shelley Conn, Jaz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Marco Pigossi are among the cast members. In addition, it appears from the clip that The Boys fans will recognize Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne in the spinoff. Jason Ritter, Alexander Calvert, and Clancy Brown were all mentioned in the trailer as new cast members.

Craig Rosenberg created the show, which was first titled The Boys Presents: Varsity. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters served as co-showrunners. The Boys’ fourth season is now being produced in Toronto, and with each brand-new episode, the star list grows more and more remarkable. This week, it was revealed that Simon Pegg, Rob Benedict, and Elliot Knight would all be returning to reprise their roles as the younger Hugh Campbell and his wife, Rosemarie Dewitt. They join the ensemble cast, which also includes Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone, Laz Alonso, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, and Jessie T. Usher. Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry have joined the cast as Sister Sage and Firecracker, respectively, as two new “supes” for Season 4.
