“Absolutely, yes. The thing that Handler, 47, most misses about working in late-night television is “having a female’s perspective,” she added. “I’m headed in that way.”

She said, “It’s not the same as having a woman. It’s enough to have a bunch of males that are on our side and are standing up on our behalf. “In late-night, there is a shortage of female representation, and I can fill that role. I’ve done it in the past, and I’ll do it again.”

In the conversation, Handler also mentioned that she was “very looking forward” to hosting The Daily Show as a guest after Trevor Noah announced his resignation from the Comedy Central programme the week of February 6.

“Given that it is political and satirical, that is pretty much a fantastic gig for me. You are allowed to ridicule everything. I therefore adore the concept “Added she.

After becoming well-known for her stand-up comedy performances and appearances on Girls Behaving Badly (2002–2005), Handler was offered a spot on her own sketch comedy series, The Chelsea Handler Show, in 2006. She is most known for hosting the chat series Chelsea Lately (2007–2004) and Chelsea, which she did subsequently (2016 to 2017).

A new comedy programme named Revolution will mark Handler’s return to Netflix, the streaming service announced last month.

The streamer’s logline read, “The acclaimed, award-winning comic lets free on her life, including her decision to remain childless and alone (apart from her dogs), dating during the pandemic as her family intrudes, and her vision for a time when guys don’t wear flip flops.

Since 2020’s Grammy-nominated Evolution on HBO Max, this is Handler’s first stand-up special. During Handler’s Vaccinated & Horny Tour, it was recorded on June 10 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Jo Koy, her then-boyfriend, was in charge of the direction.

Only three weeks after the special’s filming, Handler and Koy, both 51, made their breakup official.

Nearly 20 years ago, a mutual friend introduced Handler and Koy. Later, Koy continued to make frequent appearances on Chelsea Lately, Handler’s previous E! programme. In September 2021, the couple announced their romance to the public.

Revolution, a new Handler special that is executive produced by Handler, Michelle Caputo, and Shannon Hartman, will debut on Netflix on December 27.
