Lindsay Ell Says She Celebrated After Passing American Citizenship Test

• Officially, Lindsay Ell has two citizenships!
• The 33-year-old Canadian country artist just received the official documents following her successful.
• Completion of the American citizenship test earlier this year.

Lindsay Ell posted a video and a collection of photos to Instagram with the caption, “So much blood, sweat, and tears relocating to a place where I knew no one to start making a life.”

Ell performed as Little Big Town’s opening act while finishing the naturalization process.

She may be seen in the Instagram video toasting with other country performers while sipping champagne backstage amid red, white, and blue decorations, Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” playing in the background.

She wrote in the caption, “Here’s to the loveliest people in country music for making me feel so welcome on the road and in this nation. Earlier this year on the road when I passed my citizenship test, @littlebigtown threw me an American celebration.

Hendrix, Ell’s cute Pomeranian, also joined in on the fun and was captured in one picture playing with a flag necklace. Congratulations on becoming an American was written in brown icing on a cake, which can be seen in another photo, to make the celebration even more special.
Ell concluded the message by revealing that, on the tenth anniversary of her record deal signing, she had gotten her formal documentation.

I am now pleased to be a dual citizen, she stated, adding, “Let this be a reminder that you can accomplish WHATEVER you want to in life if you want it badly enough.
For Ell, it has been a unique period.On the Queen of Me World Tour, which begins in Spokane, Washington, on April 28, Ell will perform alongside Shania Twain.

She told the CMA Awards red carpet in November, “I remember seeing footage of Shania on stage and being like, I want to do that, I want to be her.” “And now to be able to be direct support with her on tour, it’s wild. Speaking that sentence into existence is so bizarre,” said the performer.

She continued, “They say, ‘Never meet your heroes,’ and I would say that Shania is absolutely the exception to that rule.” “She’s the queen. I can’t think of another female artist that’s inspired me more as a songwriter, as a performer. She’s so down to earth and so smart.
