A TV channel apparently canceled Jay Leno’s Garage. Following a 30-year string of Leno-starring projects appearing on TV channels, The Hollywood Reporter, which quoted a source, reported that Jay Leno’s vehicle series had been canceled, two months after the comedian was gravely hurt in a gasoline fire.

Leno, 72, featured numerous celebrity guest stars on Jay Leno’s Garage, which included President Joe Biden, Kelly Clarkson, Elon Musk, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leno highlighted unusual automobiles and the tales behind them.

The show started off in 2014 as a web series before being quickly picked up for a full season by another channel. The seventh and last season of the program aired last fall.

After previously suffering second-degree burns in a fire that started in the garage of his Los Angeles home, Leno disclosed in an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal published Thursday that he is healing from a recent motorbike accident that left him with many fractured bones.

Mentioning his “On January 17, after being “knocked off” his motorcycle, Leno informed the publication, “I’ve got a broken collarbone. My two ribs are broken. I have two broken kneecaps.”

The previous Tonight Show host said, “Though I’m fine! I’m fine, and I’m at work. This weekend, I have a job.”

Leno claims that while testing a vintage 1940 Indian motorcycle on the road, he smelled gas leakage and pulled over to look into it.

“I turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, and unbeknownst to me, some guy had a wire strung across the parking lot but with no flag hanging from it,” he explained to the Review-Journal. “I didn’t see it until it was too late. It just clotheslined me and boom, knocked me off the bike. The bike kept going, and you know how that works out.”

Because of the commotion and media attention surrounding his earlier incident in November, Leno informed the source that he first withheld information about his accident.

“He said, “After that, you’re Harrison Ford, crashing airplanes. You know, after getting burned up, you get that one for free.” You simply want to maintain a low profile.”

Leno suffered severe second-degree burns to his face and upper body back in November while he and his longtime friend Dave Killackey were repairing a clogged fuel line in the undercarriage of a 1907 White Steam Car parked in the TV host’s 140,000 square-foot Burbank garage.

Over the course of nine days, Leno underwent two skin-grafting procedures (using pig intestine and human cadaver skin, respectively) to help regenerate new, healthy skin. He also spent time in hyperbaric chambers to help oxygenate tissue. Leno returned to the stage six days after leaving the Center to perform stand-up at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California.

A month after the incident, Leno gave an exclusive interview to the news where he detailed the trauma, saying, “My face actually did feel like it was on fire. That’d be fair to say, maybe like the worst sunburn you’ve ever had.”

Leno added that while he recovered, he was conscious of the fact that things could have been far worse. He said, “I know how horrible it could have been.” “Though I’m fine. And I’m certain I’ll keep acting foolishly the same way I always have. Just just a little more cautiously!”
