Rita Moreno and Emma Myers join the comedy body swap “Family Leave”

A Freaky Friday-style comedy film on Netflix called Family Leave is expanding its cast. Emma Myers from Wednesday and Rita Moreno, a Hollywood legend, are among the new actors who will join Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms on the set of the family body swap movie, according to the streamer.

Myers will play CC, the daughter of Garner and Helms, and Wyatt, their son, will be portrayed by Brady Noon of Good Boys. Rita Moreno, who is renowned, Matthias Schweighofer from Army of Thieves, Bashir Salahuddin from Top Gun: Maverick, Ilia Isorelys Paulino from The Sex Lives of College Girls, Fortune Feimster from Yes Day, Paul Scheer from Black Monday, Andrew Bachelor from Holidate, Pete Holmes from Crashing, Naomi Ekperigin from Me Time, Dan Finnerty from Hocus Pocus 2, Cy (Irreplaceable You).

Following the Walker family, Family Leave depicts their unfortunate experience with body switching following a mystery occurrence. In order to return to normal, the family of four must navigate both their own lives and the lives of others with whose bodies they have switched. If they want things to return to normal, the parents and kids will need to learn to communicate with one another, especially because each has a busy day of college interviews, soccer tryouts, and other life-changing events scheduled.

Garner is familiar with this genre of family drama because she played the mother in the Netflix film Yes Day, in which parents had to grant their children’s requests for one day, forcing the family to discover some important things about one another. On the other hand, Helms is also no stranger to comedies, having become well-known for his part in the box office success The Hangover. The Vacation, Tag, and the Peacock series Rutherford Falls all featured the actor.

Helms and Garner’s transformation from parents to children after they exchanged bodies with their children will be fascinating to watch, but even more fascinating will be how Myers and Noon portray the parents who have done the same.
