The National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration by Brittany Mahomes includes a throwback. The 27-year-old wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a sweet snapshot of herself when she was younger playing soccer on her Instagram on Wednesday in honour of the holiday.

“If I could give myself one piece of advice when I was a young girl in sports… it would be: “Be proud of who you are and where you came from. Always be yourself and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t.” Brittany captioned her post. She included a hashtag for National Girls And Women in Sports Day.
