Rob Grownkowsi says Sally Field Is ‘an Inspiration’

On 80 for Brady, Rob Gronkowski cherished every second of his collaboration with Sally Field. Regarding his collaboration with Bounty, the retired football player, 33, told PEOPLE that Field, 76, had a distinct demeanor on set.

Gronkowski describes Field as having the confidence of a 30- or 40-year-old, noting that it was “inspiring to watch someone who’s been through it all… still enjoying [life].”

He goes on to say, “Sally Field was an inspiration, just how on top of it she still is. “You can tell why she’s been at the top of her field her entire life because she can just project and have charisma right on the spot.”

Following Field, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Lily Tomlin as NFL fans who travel to Houston for Super Bowl LI in 2017, the year Tom Brady, who retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week for the second time overall, led the New England Patriots to victory over the Atlanta Falcons, 80 for Brady is currently playing in theatres.

In the movie’s teaser, they can be seen trying to get into Super Bowl LI as they compete in Guy Fieri’s food-eating battle and even dance with Billy Porter.

Along with Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola, former colleagues of Gronkowski, they all play themselves. The 45-year-old Brady not only produces but also stars in Kyle Marvin’s film.

Despite the fact that Gronkowski spent the majority of 80 for Brady with Fonda’s 85, the athlete claims that of the film’s four leading actresses, “They were simply wonderful people. Just incredibly kind, down to earth, and a lot of fun both on and off the set.”

The collection of legendary actresses “didn’t intimidate me that much,” Gronkowski continues. He claims, “Just the way they were acting and delivering their lines was bizarre. They were on top of their games.”

He continues, “I shot some images with them and sent them to my mom and the moms of a couple of my pals, and they were simply blown away that I was working with them. It was really cool.
