Susie Evans of Bachelor hints at avoiding “shade” when Clayton Echard and Rachel Recchia reunite on TikTok

A thorny rose? Fans of Bachelor Nation were puzzled by Susie Evans‘ actions after Clayton Echard was seen hanging out with his ex-wives Rachel Recchia and Michelle Young.

On February 1, the 29-year-old Virginia native posted an Instagram Story selfie while leaving her home city. She wrote, “Walking on the side of the street with sun not shade.”

Some people on social media wondered whether the upload was pointing at Echard, 29, with whom Evans divorced in September 2022. For a few lighthearted TikTok videos, the former football player teamed up with Young, also 29, and Recchia, 26, as well as Blake Horstmann and his girlfriend, Love Is Blind star Giannina Gibelli.

The Netflix star, 29, wrote over a clip of herself and the Bachelor Nation posse as the trending “A win is a win” audio played in the background, “When you get over your reality TV trauma.” But did we? Gibelli teased in her caption.

On Wednesday, Young posted a sarcastic video of herself having a drink with Recchia. The Minnesotan went to Recchia and asked, “Do you feel like you want to talk less s-t?” Recchia replied, “No, because… I like it.”

During their conversation, Echard could be seen following the reality stars.

Echard was introduced to viewers during Young’s 18th season of The Bachelorette in 2021, but she dumped him after just six weeks. He was then chosen as the season 26 Bachelor lead, but his path wasn’t straightforward.

The University of Missouri alum caused controversy on the ABC series by declaring his love to three different ladies on their distinct overnight dates: Evans, Recchia, and Gabby Windey.

“Looking back at it all in those moments, I believed it. I really did believe I was in love with them when I was there, on the show,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in March 2022 as his season concluded. “But as I’ve now taken the time to reflect and look back, I believe that I got to the point where I was falling in love with everybody, but then it got to the point where I was only in love with Susie.”

Before the show’s conclusion, Evans broke up with the athlete, but they later admitted they had reconnected After the Final Rose special. The couple made their separation official six months later.

In a joint statement released in September 2022, they said “For anyone who has ever loved, knows this was a painful decision to make and not one taken lightly,” “We understand that there will likely be a lot of questions about this decision … We know no healthy relationship comes without its struggles, but we’ve realized that we were not prepared for the external forces that hindered our ability to not only heal as individuals but also as a couple. We both are focused on continuing to work on ourselves, so we can be the best version of ourselves.”
