Alicia Silverstone is remembering her 1999 movie Blast from the Past, in which she co-starred alongside Brendan Fraser.

When a fan enquired about the actress, 46-year-old Alicia Silverstone, she responded as follows: “you and Brendan? Anything for Brendan, I’d do. It was a lot of fun.”

The actress said, “I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s very cute. “Fraser, 54, just received the Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in The Whale.

“He said in his speech that we all go through this incredibly difficult time and that you have to grow and that suffering is a part of life, and then look what happened to him!” said Silverstone. I’m happy to do that, so yes.

Hugh Wilson (The First Wives Club) wrote and directed the movie Blast from the Past, which stars Fraser as a guy named Adam who enters society after spending his first 35 years of existence with his parents in a nuclear fallout shelter.

Adam (Silverstone) meets Eve as he struggles to fit into the 1990s after spending his whole life in the bunker with his parents, played by Christopher Walken and Sissy Spacek, where he only experienced technology and social norms from the 1960s. During its debut in February 1999, the movie brought in about $26.5 million on a $35 million production budget, according to Box Office Mojo.

During the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, Silverstone and Fraser were both seen visiting the Vanity Fair Oscars after party.

As he gave his acceptance speech at the Oscars and thanked those who helped him get to the stage in Los Angeles’s Dolby Theatre, Fraser, who also won a Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA Award for The Whale, was clearly moved to tears and humbled.

“I am really grateful to the Academy for this distinction and to our studio A24 for producing such a daring movie. I’m appreciative of [director] Darren Aronofsky for rescuing my artistic career and boarding the excellent ship The Whale, “said he.

Fraser praised his fellow candidates for “laying [their] whale-sized hearts naked so that we may look into your souls like no one else could do” and that it was an “honor” to be included in the nomination list with them.
