Due to back-to-back songs by Shakira criticizing him and his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, Gerard Pique may pursue legal action against her.
The former Barcelona player reportedly wants to take legal action against the Waka Waka hitmaker because she has had enough of her digs, according to a Spanish program.
According to reports, Shakira’s songs have affected him, his fiancée, and family members who must deal with her admirers every time they go out.
On the program, a journalist stated that it is unclear whether Pique will sue the Colombian singer for her persistent criticisms or try to resolve the situation within.
“It is true that he turned grief, pain and frustration into humor before the media, a musical persecution of his ex-partner, but he has made the decision not to overlook the use of the family again to try to generate even more hatred and media confrontation,” the journalist claimed.
Following her vicious criticism of Pique and Marti in BZRP Music Session #53, the singer collaborated with Karol G on another track.
Shakira appears to have stated in the new song TGQ that the football player wanted to “get back together” with her after their breakup but that she was “not an idiot” to get back together with him after he cheated on her.
The Colombian singer croons, “If you know that I do not repeat my mistakes, tell your new baby that I don’t compete for men,” in the song.
She continues, seemingly in jest with the 23-year-old PR student, “Seeing you with the new one hurt me. But I’m now focusing on me. What we lived, I forgot, and that’s what has offended you.”
“You are no longer welcome here, and what your girlfriend threw at me, that doesn’t annoy me or make me laugh,” Shakira continues in her new song.
