“Leave Me Alone”: Selena Gomez Reacts to Plastic Surgery Claims

Hollywood singer and actor Selena Gomez addressed rumors about her plastic surgery amid her changing looks and weight fluctuations.

In response to a TikToker’s video discussing her appearance, the 32-year-old singer denied having any surgical procedures but admitted to using Botox.

The original video, posted in 2023 by a physician’s assistant in a plastic surgeon’s office, recently received a comment from Selena Gomez asking people to leave her alone.

“Honestly, I hate this. I was on stripes because of a flare-up. I have Botox. That’s it. Leave me alone,” wrote the “Only Murders in the Building” star.

Following her comment, the TikToker, named Marissa Barrionuevo, apologized and mentioned that she had stopped creating videos where she compared old and recent photos of celebrities.

“You don’t owe it to anyone to tell us why you don’t look the same as what you did when you were a teenager or in your 20s,” wrote the creator.

“I really do mean the best, so I apologise if this rubbed you the wrong way in any way whatsoever,” the TikToker added.

The reply seemed to have cooled down Selena Gomez who responded by sending love. “I love you. Not about you. I just get sad sometimes,” the Hollywood star replied.

The former Disney star, with 428 million Instagram followers, is the most-followed woman on the platform. This massive following subjects her life to intense public scrutiny, leading to headlines that speculate about her personal relationships and her mental and physical health.

In 2014, Gomez was diagnosed with lupus, a condition that causes symptoms like joint pain.

In 2017, the Hollywood actor had a kidney transplant due to complications from her lupus diagnosis.
