The peasants want the lagan (agricultural tax) abolished. Gracy Singh, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajendra Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Rajesh Vivek, Pradeep Rawat, and British actors Rachel Shelley and Paul Blackthorne also appeared in the film.
