Demonstrations held against Jang, Geo for anti-Pakistan attitude

The masses speak out against Jang & GEO

The anti-Pakistani attitude of Jang and Geo lead to protests in Islamabad and Karachi. The news channels aired controversy when they twisted and turned the statement by the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. Civil Society members in Islamabad organized a protest outside the National Press club following this. The protests were targeted against Jang, Geo, and Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman.

Chaudhry Yaseen, a labor union leader, vocalized his opinions that PEMRA should take action against GEO and Jang for their anti-Pakistan behavior. This was followed by other speakers also voicing their feelings against the media group.

Speakers that were present included Mufti Abdul Qadir Jafar, Mufti Habibullah, Asif Tanoli, Allama Qari Sajjad Tanoli. Everyone agreed that the media group was on the wrong path towards treason and mockery. Spectators were urged to boycott their support for the media giants and everybody agreed that such controversies were not acceptable.

A media house should express and invite patriotism from the people of the nation rather than share blasphemy and conspiracy. The speakers urged Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman to abandon his anti-state actions and discontinue the turmoil he is creating amongst millions of men and women of the country.

A plan was set to take action against the media houses and bring the culprits to justice.
