Complaint to ban GEO News files by Sunni Ittehad Council
Media Firon’s channel preached Qadianiat in one of their shows. Ahmadis (Qadianis) are declared non-Muslims in Pakistan’s constitution.
After TLP’s assembly member Sarwat Fatima urged in Sindh Assembly to ban Firon Mir-Shakil-ur-Rehman’s channel, on the other hand, Sunni Ittehad Council’s president Malik Baksh Illahi registered a complaint to PEMRA to ban Geo News.
The complaint highlighted that by talking about Qadianiat, Geo News not only disobeyed Pakistan’s constitution but also went against Islam.
“Muslims around the world are upset for telecasting news regarding Qadianis’, wrote Malik Baksh Illahi.
Illahi requested PEMRA in his complaint to cancel the channel’s license and take strict action against its owners.
This is not the first time Media Firon’s channel did something against Islam.
