Lahore Accountability Court has sent Private Media Group Owner Mir Shakeel ur Rahman on 12 days physical remand  in land transaction case.

As per details, The Lahore Court has ordered to present Mir Shakeel ur Rahman on March 25th.

According to NAB, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had illegally leased the land to Rahman in 1986.

The anti-graft watchdog arrested Mir Shakilur Rahman on Thursday after he failed to furnish the supportive evidence in connection with the land which he had acquired during the tenure of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

On February 28, the NAB issued a call-up notice to Mir Shakeel ur Rahman, directing him to appear before it on March 5, 2020, to record his statement regarding the land allotted to him in 1986 in Block H, Johar Town Phase 2 “by then chief minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in violation of the relevant laws and rules”.
