In a swift development in land transaction case against private media group owner Mir Shakeel ur Rahman, the anti graft body has decided to include former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the investigation.
Sources on Sunday said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to interrogate Nawaz Sharif in land transaction case against Mir Shakeel ur Rahman.
Moreover Sources said, the NAB team will question Nawaz Sharif after preliminary investigation gets completed with Mir Shakeel ur Rahman.
It is pertinent to mention that Accountability court approved 12-day physical remand of Mir Shakeel ur Rahman in a case pertaining to illegal exemption on 54 plots in Lahore.
Furthermore Mir Shakeel ur Rahman produced before the court for the judicial proceedings.
Earlier, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested Mir Shakeel ur Rahman on the accusation of illegal exemption on 54 plots in Lahore during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure as ex-chief minister of Punjab.
The anti-graft watchdog’s spokesman said that Mir Shakeel ur Rahman detained after failing to provide satisfactory answers to the questions that put to him.
