World observes Hepatitis Day

Pakistan and countries all around the world are observing today as Hepatitis awareness day.

According to the details, the world observes 28 July as world Hepatitis awareness day. According to estimates every year 1.4 million people die due to Hepatitis. Currently around 320 million people are suffering from this disease.

Pakistan ranks at number two for most number of Hepatitis patients in the world. According to a WHO report, every year around 150,000 people die due to Hepatitis in Pakistan.

WHO has initiated awareness programs and pressurized state governments to work towards eradication of Hepatitis.
