A man was diagnosed as he showed symptoms of the contagious virus and he was admitted to Nishter Hospital yesterday.

The patient had from China to Dubai and arrived in Karachi before going to Multan through PIA flight.

The patient was moved to the isolation ward when his condition worsened. His identity is still not known.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza reported that the detention facility is not available in the country.

He informed that samples of doubted cases will be given to international labs for examination. He said that samples will be sent to the countries including China and Holland. However, he assured that the facility will be made available in the coming weeks.

Note that the number of deaths have increased to 41 in China.

It should be remembered that the first case of coronavirus was also registered in India.

Two persons who returned from China were kept under medical observation in Mumbai for possible exposure to the novel coronavirus which has infected a large number of people in the neighboring country, a BMC health officer said on Friday.

According to the details, the family of the first known Indian national afflicted with the coronavirus and battling for life has reached out to India for financial help.

He has also got in touch with a healthcare crowdfunding platform in India to arrange for her hospital expenses.
