Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated a helpline for psychological help and counseling.

Citizens can dial 1093 on their phones to reach the service which is designed to give counselling related to stress and address physiological issues of the people as coronavirus is hitting biomedical and psychological points of view.

In collaboration with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and National Urban Development Project (NUDP), government of Sindh has launched the service.

The helpline service will have a panel of 25 psychological experts who will be available on-call throughout the day.

On the occasion CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the service has been made for patients who are not able to deal with the stress of being locked in seclusion and showing psychological deterioration.

Earlier in the day, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has confirmed 287 new COVID-19 cases in the province over the past 24 hours.

Sindh chief minister said while giving details about the active cases of coronavirus, 287 cases new cases reported in Sindh out of which 199 cases have been reported from Karachi while 96 emerged from other Sindh districts.

802 patients recovered in Sindh province, while 78 people have been pronounced dead in the province, so far, the CM added.
