Back pain problem continues to interfere with the quality of your life as it is the biggest issue we all suffer somehow.
Back pain is a common problem that can affect a person’s work and personal life.
People can also experience pain in other areas of the back, including the middle and upper back.
The back muscles and spine support much of the body’s weight. A person uses the muscles for everyday movements, including sitting, standing, and walking.
Fortunately, there are many home remedies exist to help relieve such troublesome problems.
Ice is best in the first 24 to 48 hours after an injury because it reduces inflammation. It helps cover up the pain and it does help relax the muscles, the heat actually inflames the inflammatory processes. Whether you use heat or ice — take it off after about 20 minutes to give your skin a rest.
2. Keep moving
Our spines are like the rest of our body. Keep doing your daily activities, exercises or aerobics in order to move your back and spine multiple times a day. This helps to reduce muscles problem.
Don’t sit slumped in a similar position all day. Get up every 20 minutes or so and stretch the other way. Don’t forget to also stretch your legs. Some people find relief from their back pain by doing a regular stretching routine, like yoga.
4. Watch your posture
Slumping makes it harder for your back to support your weight. Be very careful of your posture when lifting heavy objects. Never bend over from the waist. Instead, bend and straighten from the knees.
5. Wear low heels
Exchange your heels with some flat shoes or pump. High heels may create a more unstable posture, and increase pressure on your lower spine.
6. Watch your weight
Use diet and exercise to keep your weight within a healthy range for your height. Being overweight puts excess stress on your spine.
7. Apply a pain-relief cream
Creams that contain capsaicin, a compound found in hot peppers, may also help relieve pain. One study found capsaicin cream to be helpful in treating osteoarthritis pain.
8. Get enough sleep
Sleep disturbances could make the pain worse. Lack of sleep can also affect how much pain a person can tolerate.
An uncomfortable mattress, pillows that are the wrong size, or simply not getting adequate sleep could trigger back pain. Most adults should be getting 7–9 hours of sleep a night.
Proper comfort and alignment of the back is essential for sleep quality and avoiding back pain.
