ISLAMABAD: Covid-19 cases have been once again soaring across Pakistan as the National Institute of Health (NIH) has reported 171 confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
The stats shared by the institute revealed that the positivity ratio rose to 2.70%. 4,917 coronavirus diagnostic tests were performed of which 171 returned positive.

On the other hand, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Thursday warned the authorities that the coronavirus could rise again in Pakistan.
During the meeting with the stakeholders, NCOC issued guidelines to avoid spreading the virus among citizens.
The NCOC announced to use of face masks mandatory in crowded areas, moreover, Medical centres, hospital staff and patients to follow the strict guidelines released by NCOC.
The NCOC issued guidelines that will remain enforced till April 30.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson Sindh Health Minister said those people getting tested for covid are the ones who are already with covid symptoms – hence the rate of positivity would be high in that regard.
