Anti-Indian protests in France over Kashmir issue

Protests were held in front of famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, France against India on their Independence Day. Protestors hoisted black flags to observe the black day.

According to the details, hundreds of Pakistani and Kashmiri supports gathered to protest and observe black day against Indian actions in Kashmir. Protestors kept chanting anti-Indian and anti-Modi slogans for almost two hours.

Speakers told the gathering that India is committing mass atrocities in Kashmir. India is involved in open violations of human rights. Still Kashmiris are standing firm against Indian forces. Kashmir demands international community to provide them their right of self-determination.

Protestors had placards showing anti-Indian slogans and had large of number of Pakistani and Kashmiri flags.

The call for the protest was jointly given by all political and religious parties. Sikhs along with Muslims were also protesting against Indian government and its actions in Kashmir.

Protestors also demanded European Union and France to pressurize India to reverse its decision of revoking article 370 and article 35A.

India on 15 August through a presidential decree revoked article 370 and 35A after which Kashmir lost its special status. Since then Kashmir valley is under strict curfew and lockdown. Digital and communications channels are also under blackout.

Mass protests have been organized all around the world power centers and people are demanding international community to act upon Kashmir issue.

United Nations also requested both India and Pakistan to observe maximum restraint and try to solve the issue through dialogue. UN general secretary also clarified that UN sees Kashmir according to the resolutions.

An emergency meeting has also been arranged to discuss Kashmir issue in UNSC to be held on 16 August.
