Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has urged International Organizations to act upon Kashmir Issue. Kashmir issue must be resolved according to the UN resolutions.

OIC has also called India to protect religious rights of Kashmiri people. Stripping people of their religious rights is in violation of International Human rights laws.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi also requested OIC to take notice of the deteriorating situations in Kashmir.

FM also showed concerns over brutal use of force against innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces. India has locked down the valley and committing mass atrocities in violations of International laws.

OIC has also condemned the Indian action of revoking article 370 and has called for right of self-determination of Kashmiris.

Also, United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) spokesperson Rupert Colville has said that lockdown in Kashmir could spread human rights violations in region.

Rupert Colville said that human rights violations in Kashmir by India are of grave concerns. Such actions can make human rights more troublesome in the region.

India has imposed sanctions on Kashmir parliament as well. With such actions Kashmiri leaders and local population are unable to participate in democratic political process, he added.

According to the international human rights laws, such actions are in violation of basic human rights, Rupert Colville added.

No information coming out of occupied Kashmir is concerning, he said.

Rupert Colville further added that in a report published on 8 July 2018, we have highlighted human rights violations by Indian government in Kashmir.

In the report it is mentioned that to counter dissent from Kashmiri people, Indian government lockdown the valley and closes all communication channels.

Indian administration has jailed many of the opposition leadership in Kashmir. Disproportionate use of force is also done against protestors.

Many of the protestors are injured due to use of brute force and many get killed under arrest, the report mentioned.
