Russian President Vladimir Putin treated his guest Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with local ice-cream as the two leaders attended MAKS air show on August 27.

Earlier, Putin and Erdogan inspected Russia’s new fighter-jet Su-57 and walked around the air show exhibition.

Over 800 businesses from foreign countries are taking part in the MAKS-2019 event, which Russia hopes will shore up sales of Russian made aircraft.

President Vladimir Putin showed off Russia’s new Su-57 stealth fighter jet to Turkey’s President.

The Turkish president joined his Russian counterpart for a walk through at the MAKS-2019 air show, which opened on the same day in the Moscow region.

The two leaders mingled and could be seen laughing as they examined aircraft, including Russia’s MC-21 passenger plane, Mi-38 helicopter and the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft.

Russia on Tuesday delivered another battery of Russian S-400 missile defenses to Turkey, Interfax news agency cited Putin as saying to Erdogan.

Turkey’s Defense Ministry said that the delivery of a second battery of S-400 defense system had started as of Tuesday and that it would take around one month.

Turkey received the first shipment last month, a move that prompted Washington to begin formally removing Ankara from an F-35 program in which Turkey was both customer and producer.

Over 800 businesses from foreign countries are taking part in the MAKS-2019 event, which Russia hopes will shore up sales of Russian made aircraft.

According to a news agency, this year’s expo is the first one, organized with participation of China.
