After the Hajj scheme, Saudi government has announced next Umrah season, from route to Mecca.
According to details, The Ministry of Haj and Umrah has completed all arrangements to receive pilgrims in the new Umrah season starting Sept. 1 and expected their number to go up by about 18 percent over the previous season when more than seven million pilgrims performed the Umrah.
New strategies and plans have been adapted for the new Umrah season with the aim of providing the pilgrims with outstanding services that will make their trip a memorable event.
Performance of Umrah companies will be monitored to make sure that the pilgrims receive the best of services.
New Umrah arrangements include establishment of a central reservation platform through which the pilgrims can automatically receive their Umrah visas without the need of approaching Saudi missions abroad.
Plans also included preparation for accommodation of pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah.
Readiness for the reception of Umrah pilgrims at all the Kingdom’s air, land and sea inlets have been completed.
Under Kingdom’s Vision 2030 about 30 million people are expected to perform the Umrah that year.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued a decision exempting the directors of Hajj office No. (80) and (82) of the South Asian Pilgrims’ Foundation due to their failure to provide services to the pilgrims and referring them to the Disciplinary Committee for investigation.
The monitoring and follow-up committees had earlier monitored the failure of the two above mentioned offices.
His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah instructed the South Asian pilgrims’ Foundation to deal with the situation immediately, suspend the managers of the two offices and provide all the necessary services to the pilgrims belonging to the said offices, in order to ensure their comfort to complete their Hajj and to preserve the great successes achieved in the previous stages during Hajj season of this year 1440 H.
