Moreover the Ministry appointed other directors to follow up the services and provide urgent solutions for the current situation until safe return of the pilgrims belonging to these offices.

This development comes after the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, to approve the suspension of the directors of the said offices No. (80) and (82), after the negative field reports by the committees of Makkah administration proving the failure of the said directors in providing due services to pilgrims.

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Mohammed Saleh bin Taher Benten, had suspended earlier officials in the Tawafa institutions because of default and negligence. He also directed supervision teams for field follow-up of the situation around the clock to ensure providing all services to the pilgrims in light of the ministry’s continuous efforts to develop the services and ensure Commitment of all institutions and sectors to the instructions and guidance, and work on the comfort of the guests of Allah to perform their Hajj easily and smoothly.

The monitoring and follow-up committees had earlier monitored the failure of the two above mentioned offices. His Excellency the Minister of Hajj and Umrah instructed the South Asian pilgrims’ Foundation to deal with the situation immediately, suspend the managers of the two offices and provide all the necessary services to the pilgrims belonging to the said offices, in order to ensure their comfort to complete their Hajj and to preserve the great successes achieved in the previous stages during Hajj season of this year 1440 H.
