President Putin arrives in Saudi Arabia to review Saudi-Russian relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Saudi Arabia on an official visit here on Tuesday.

He was greeted in Riyadh by an honor guard of Arabian horses and royal soldiers.

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz welcomes Putin at the Royal Palace of Riyadh.

The state visit underlined the maturing relations between two international politics.

After a brief meeting, a formal dialogue was held between King Salman and the Russian President in which different aspects of bilateral relations were discussed.

The Russian President, afterwards, called on the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressed to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

According to Saudi media, Prince Mohammed bin Salman while talking to Putin, said that the energy cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia will help achieve stability.

President Putin reviewed aspects of Saudi-Russian relations, domains of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, explored more promising opportunities in the two countries in all fields.

They also tackled a number of latest developments, especially the situation in Syria and Yemen, sources said.

Saudi Arabia and Russia also signed key agreements in different sectors.

During the signing ceremony, Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud highlighted that the two countries had started a new phase of cooperation and integration aimed at achieving prosperity and progress for both sides.
