Cyclone Bulbul in the Arabian Sea caused devastation in the coastal areas of India and Bangladesh.

According to authorities, powerful Cyclone killed 3 people in India and 2 in Bangladesh, while thousands of homes were destroyed.

Authorities said that 300,000 people were shifted to safer places in Bangladesh before the storm, while another 255,000 were evacuated to West Bengal.

Authorities also said that when the Cyclone Bulbul hit the shores of Sunderbun Saturday night, there were heavy rains as well as storms brought sustained winds of 74 kilometers per hour (46 mph) with gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour (75 mph).

Authorities further said that all flights were suspended at the central Kolkata airport.
