Indian politician and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu along with Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is also ready to come to Pakistan.
According to the details, Sidhu wrote a letter to the Indian Foreign Ministry for permission to attend the opening ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor, and now Indian government granted him permission.
Sidhu said that the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak is a historic occasion for Sikhs, he also thanked the government of Pakistan, especially Prime Minister Imran Khan, for this auspicious gift.
Earlier, on the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Senator Faisal Javed had invited PM Imran khan’s old friend Sidhu on a telephone call, on which Navjot Singh Sidhu accepted the invitation to attend Kartarpur Corridor inauguration ceremony.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the project on November 9, three days before the 550th birth anniversary Baba Guru Nanak that will be celebrated on November 12.
Pakistan and India had agreed to open the corridor to the Kartarpur Gurdwara last year located in Pakistan on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
The Kartarpur Corridor, which will be the first visa-free route between Pakistan and India, just a few kilometers from the International border of India and Pakistan.
5,000 pilgrims shall be permitted to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib through the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on any given day, with an additional provision for more pilgrims on special days including Gurpurab, Baisakhi, etc., subject to capacity.
Considering the agreement, the amount of revenue Pakistan can generate sums up to $100,000 every day and since the corridor will remain open 365 days of the year, it can potentially generate a direct income Rs5.55 billion per annum.
