The top US diplomat for South Asia Alice Wells has said that Pakistan and US relations are improving, we hope to invest more trust in the future.

She was addressing an event in US capital Washington, regarding one belt and one road. Alice Wells said that relations between Pakistan and the United States are improving.

She said that Pakistan has done tireless efforts to endure peace and stability in the Afghan Peace process. We hope that Pakistan will do the same cooperation in the future.

While discussing Prime minister Imran Khan’s US visit she said that President Trump was excited about Imran Khan’s arrival. Improving trade relations were discussed between them. President Trump also encouraged Imran Khan’s economic reforms in the country.

She also said that Pakistan and the United States also share an extensive defense history. Military relations with Pakistan are of utmost importance. Dangers like terrorism need to be addressed collectively.

On the topic of Kashmir, the top diplomat said that President Trump has expressed concern over Kashmir. President Trump also wants to mediate on the issue. The US does not support critical relations between Pakistan and India. Both will have to restore the atmosphere of confidence-building.
