At least 10 civilians died in a landmine blast that happened at the eastern Khost province of Afghanistan.
According to the foreign news agency, the blast had happened when a passenger car hit a landmine in the vicinity of Chinaar near the Alisher district.
According to police’s spokesperson Aadil Haider, two women and three children were among the sufferers.
He also told security forces have also found and defused another explosive device near the site where the incident had happened.
The provincial governor, Haleem Fidaey has termed the incident as an “inhumane act of terrorism.”
Nobody has claimed the responsibility of the blast.
Another incident of a similar nature had happened last month. At least 15 civilians were killed in a landmine in north Kunduz province bordering Tajikistan.
