The organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has shown concern over the critical problems happening in India.

According to details, OIC has expressed deep concern over the ongoing situation in India happening after Babri Masjid case and acceptance of the Citizenship amendment bill.

OIC had issued a statement in which the General Secretariat has stated that OIC is aware of the crisis that occurred to the Muslim minority population in India after the Babri Masjid case and Citizenship bill.

OIC restated its call to maintain the protection of Muslim Minority and Islamic sacred places in India.

The organization repeated the significance of upholding the rules and stated in the charter of the United Nations and related international organizations that ensure the rights of minority groups without differences.

Any activity against such obligations may cause further unrest and may cause a threat to peace and security in the regions.

Given that OIC is the second largest inter-governmental organization consisting of 57 member states. This is the second-largest after the United Nations.

The bill got huge criticism from the opposition, as they claimed that the bill victimizes the rights of Muslims based on their religion.
