Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has been taken to hospital in London on Friday.
According to details, Prince Philip went to King Edward VII in London from the Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk as a precautionary measure.
According to Buckingham Palace, he has been admitted for observation and necessary treatment.
The decision has been taken after considering the Prince’s pre-existing condition as per the recommendations of Prince Philip’s doctor.
It was a planned decision to admit the Duke, according to the Palace.
In a statement issued from the Palace, it was mentioned, “The Duke of Edinburgh traveled from Norfolk this morning to the King Edward VII Hospital in London for observation and treatment concerning a pre-existing condition.”
It was also mentioned that the Duke’s doctor has recommended him to get admitted for precautionary care.”
It is predicted that Prince Philip will stay in the hospital for a few days.
Note that Prince Philip was retired from the office in August 2017.
He has been a part of several events for his organizations and charities.
He has shown his participation with the Queen and other Royal Family members in public events since he retired from the office.
However, he did not show his presence in the public since appearing in Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding that had happened in May.
Note that the Queen has reached at Sandringham Estate for her Christmas break.
It was also said that Prince Philip had given up his driving license.
Apart from that, the Duke was not allowed to attend the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert this year as he suffered a bladder infection.
He also experienced a hip replacement at King Edward VII Hospital in London.
