The number of deaths increased to 28 due to Typhoon Phanfone in the Philippines.

According to the local news agency, one family tried to reach the higher ground when they were swept away by the flood and was killed.

Chairman of the Philippine Red Cross Richard Gordon had said, “A lot of people have lost their homes and they need food.”

He has also informed that water and power services have also been suspended in several areas.

Phanfone made its way towards South China City on Thursday.

Philippines Phanfone has hit near to the regions hit by Typhoon Haiyan.

Typhoon Haiyan was said to be the most powerful storm that caused landfall in 2013.

That was the deadliest typhoon that happened as it killed over 6,000 people.
