One person killed and 7 were wounded as a gunman opened fire in downtown Seattle Yesterday.

Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins said a dead body was found in a heavily trafficked area. He reported that five other persons were taken to Seattle hospital. He also said that officials have received calls about the incident at 5 pm local time.

Moreover, local media informed that seven wounded people were admitted to the hospital.

Apart from that, Seattle police department reported on twitter that the suspected had run away after the incident. Police are trying to find the suspect.

“Officers investigating shooting near 4th and Pine. Multiple victims. The suspect has fled, and police are searching for him. Officers and medics are providing first aid to the injured. Additional information to come.”

A spokesperson at Harborview Medical Center Susan Gregg informed that a woman and a man among the injured ones were in critical condition.

Furthermore, Samantha Cook said, “I was on the first set of escalators,” “There were a lot of gunshots that started going off – maybe 10 or 11. It was just rapid fire.”

It should be remembered that two parishioners were shot dead by a gunman in a Church in Texas three weeks ago. The incident happened as the gunman started an open fire in the Church.

An armed member of the congregation killed the gunman after the incident, the US media reported.

The gunman pulled out a shotgun and started the open fire after he took his position from a pew at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement.
