The US House of Representatives has sent Trump’s impeachment case to the Senate for trial.

The resolution was passed after it got 193 votes out of 228 votes.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has signed copies of the resolution with Democratic lawmakers who will file a case against Trump.

Nancy Pelosi said in a press conference, “Today we will make history. When the managers walk down the hall, we will cross a threshold in history – delivering articles of impeachment against the president of the United States for abuse of power and obstruction of the House.”

The articles were then sent to the Senate and the trial is likely to begin on Thursday.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi had said before voting, “We are here today to cross a very important threshold in American history.”

The White House had aimed to stop the aid to Ukraine after Trump’s impeachment.

According to details, the White House attempted to stop aid to Ukraine soon after US President Donald Trump negotiated with Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky by phone.

An email from the government was released which mentioned that Trump had talked to Volodymyr Zelensky in July.

It should be remembered that Mr. Trump had demanded Ukraine’s president to investigate his political opponent-the Democrat Joe Biden in that call.

It was shown that MikeDuffey had talked to senior defense officials regarding freezing of aid to Ukraine just one and a half hours after Trump had a call with President of Ukraine in July.
