Funeral procession of the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ elite Quds Force Maj Gen Qasem Soleimani held today in Bhaghdad.
According to details, thousands of people have marched in a funeral procession of Maj Gen Qasem Soleimani and other leaders who were killed in a US airstrike.
Iranian officials stated that a public farewell was planned in Tehran for for Iran’s top general and other Iraqi leaders on Sunday.
The procession began at the Imam Kadhim shrine in Baghdad and People marched in the streets alongside militia vehicles in a solemn procession.
Participants were chanting “no, no, America,” and “death to America, death to Israel.”
One of the mourner said that the funeral was an expression of loyalty to those killed. “It is a painful strike, but it will not shake us,” he said.
Iraq’s prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, and leaders of Iran-backed militias attended the funeral procession with a tight aerial security as two helicopters hovered over the procession.

Today, another airstrike was carried out in Iraq which killed 6 people, the local news reported. The attack had happened a day after Soleimani’s murder.
According to an international news agency, six people were killed in the airstrike. The attack hit the militia group in the early Saturday morning.
The US President Donald Trump said that Qasem Suleimani was killed to stop the war.
The US President explained the assassination of Iran’s top Commander Qasem Soleimani that the aim was “to stop the war, not to start one.”
