China is set to inaugurate a new hospital to treat coronavirus victims. Note that the number of cases jumped to over 17,000 in China whereas the death toll reached 361.
Huoshenshan hospital contains 1,000 beds and has been constructed in eight days.
Chinese State Media informed that the hospital will be open for the patients from today.
Over 1,400 Chinese army medical staff were reaching Wuhan and were taken to the new hospital.
Construction for the second hospital has already begun in Leishenshan and will be completed by Wednesday.
Apart from that, the first death was reported in the Philippines.
Note that several countries are not allowing entry of Chinese individuals.
There are more than 150 cases of coronavirus outside China.
Hospitals in Hubei where Wuhan is located are working to treat the growing number of cases.
However, hospital workers are likely to go on strike today in Hong Kong unless the connecting border with China is completely shut down.
The Chinese government has taken the initiative to not bury the coronavirus victims as another attempt to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus.
According to the details, China on Sunday banned funerals, burials and farewell ceremonies for the victims of the novel coronavirus to control the outbreak as the death toll rose to 304 in the country.
International sources revealed that the bodies should be cremated at designated funeral homes near their location, they cannot be transported between regions and cannot be preserved by burial or other means, said the trial guidelines issued by the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security.
