Coronavirus has killed more people in Italy than in China or any other country, after deaths there rose by 427 in a day.

According to the details, The number of deaths now stands at 3,405, which is more than in China where the virus originated last year.

There have been 3,245 reported deaths in China, but there have been questions over the reliability of its data.

Earlier today, US President said, a drug currently used as an antimalarial, hydroxychloroquine would be made available almost immediately to treat coronavirus.

According to the details, Trump, speaking at a news conference, pointed to efforts on Gilead Sciences Inc’s experimental antiviral drug Remdesivir and the generic antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine, saying he had called on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to streamline its regulatory approval process.

Earlier on March 11, The World Health Organization sees the outbreak of the new coronavirus as a pandemic, Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Wednesday.

He told a news conference, “We are deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity and by the alarming levels of inaction. We have therefore made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic.”

It was first identified in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China.
