The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their last appearance as working members of the royal family at the Commonwealth Day Service that held on Monday afternoon at Westminster Abbey.
Prince Harry and Meghan had joined the queen and other members of the royal family at the event.
The couple had attended several public events in the UK ahead of leaving the royal duties.
Both Harry and Meghan will not use their HRH titles and will not receive public money from 31st March. Prince Harry and Meghan joined the Queen-who is head of the Commonwealth. Moreover, The Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the central London church were also present at the event.
At this event, the Cambridges and the Sussexes went straight to their seats instead of waiting for the queen and participating in the procession as they had done in 2019.
It was the first time Harry and Meghan were seen with other royal family members since they announced to step back as royals.
The duke of Sussex Harry has finally given his statement over his decision of becoming independent.
Prince Harry said, “there was no other option”, “taking a leap of faith” in stepping back from his royal lifestyle.
Prince Harry said while talking at an event yesterday, Prince Harry and Meghan said that they would keep serving the Queen, but not with public finding.
He said, “Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible,”
Although the couple announced yesterday their decision, they made it clear that both were not walking away.
