The rest of China also enacted tough measures to limit public gatherings. There were eight more deaths in China — all in Hubei — raising the nationwide total to 3,245, according to the commission.
Earlier on March 16, President Dr Arif Alvi said that he was undertaking a two-day visit to China on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping where he would express solidarity with the people of China who had fought the Coronavirus epidemic.
