Residency visas expiring on March 1 will be extended for a renewal period of three months without any additional visa fees upon renewal.
The UAE cabinet approved a decision of extensions of residency visas without visa fee.
The decision has been taken as a part of the precautionary measures taken to lower the spread of Coronavirus in the UAE.
As per the announcement, people holding residency visas expired on March 1, 2020, will avail their visas renewed for three months without paying additional charges. They are also free from any financial irregularities involved under such conditions.
The international news source says the decision is taken to facilitate procedures for citizens, residents and the visitors, to make sure their health and safety, and support the work progress and continuity of government work in various fields.
In addition to this, the cabinet has also decided not to calculate administrative fines for violations of the services provided by the Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality for a renewable period of three months, starting on April 1, 2020.
Apart from that, it also approved to grant a temporary license to digital transaction technology within the notary public’s works in order to help citizens and residents complete their judicial transactions under the current circumstances and preserve the safety of customers following with judicial authorities.
Above all, It also approved the extension of the validity of government services expiring on March 1, 2020, or within the time limit set in this decision for a renewable period of three months, starting on April 1.
The decision is implied to the renewal of all federal government services such as documents, permits, licenses, commercial registers and the alike.
