Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s pregnant fiancée Carrie Symonds showed the symptoms of COVID-19.
Carrie stated that she has spent the past week on the bed due to the illness.
Carrie, 32, is pregnant with the first child. She suggested other expectant parents be vigilant with the guidance provided by The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Carrie Symonds posted on social media that she has not tested for coronavirus.
She wrote on Twitter, “I’ve spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of Coronavirus.”
“I haven’t needed to be tested and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and I’m on the mend.”
She added, “Being pregnant with COVID-19 is obviously worrying. To other pregnant women, please do read and follow the most up to date guidance which I found to be v [sic] reassuring,”

On the other hand, Downing Street reported that PM Boris Johnson has been taken to a London hospital for tests, 10 days after he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He had “persistent symptoms” and temperature.
The decision was said to be taken as a “precautionary step”.
A Downing Street spokeswoman said in a statement, “On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests.
“This is a precautionary step, as the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus 10 days after testing positive for the virus.”
“The prime minister thanks NHS staff for all of their incredible hard work and urges the public to continue to follow the government’s advice to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.”
