Three US states have permitted some shops to reopen amid lockdown. Note that the death toll has reached 51, 000 in the US.

Note that the US has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, tally goes to 925,758 whereas 52,217 have died and 110,432 have recovered.

Globally, there are 2,833,958 confirmed cases of coronavirus. out of these, 197,368 people have died whereas 807,578 have recovered. The number of active cases is 1,829,012.

Alaska has eased restrictions on restaurants. Georgia and Oklahoma have reopened spas.

Some other cities have decided to continue lockdown measures. Several businesses and shops will remain open in Georgia. Dine-in restaurants and theatres will be allowed to resume their work.

Several US states are in pressure to resume businesses and trading, as unemployment claims reaching 26 million people.

However, health experts say that steps taken might be occurring too soon. They fear that another wave of infections can blow.

Donald Trump has faced criticism after he suggested that house disinfectant will be beneficial for coronavirus patients.

Doctors and manufacturers have condemned his suggestion dangerous. Experts say that disinfectants are harmful and can be poisonous if consumed. Their external exposure is also dangerous to the skin, eyes, and respiratory system.

Mr. Trump signed a $484bn (£391bn) economic stimulus bill into law, saying he wanted to “rush economic relief to our citizens”. This is the fourth relief package Washington has passed.
