An Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer refused her six month maternity leave and returned to work within a month after delivery.

Srijana Gummalla is currently serving as Commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in Andhra Pradesh.

However, the young mother returned to work with her six just born baby.

Furthermore, pictures of IAS officer holding her newborn while working received much love from the netizens.

Gumalla Srijana replied to the tweet saying that she was taking all the necessary precautions to ensure the baby was properly cared for even at work.

However, Gumalla responded to the tweet, stating that “Thanks for the kind words Prashanth garu,” she wrote. ”

Taking every precaution with baby. I keep the baby with me in a much protected environment for feeding and nurturing,” she further added.

The tweet has been going viral for all the right reasons.

Moreover, many saluted the officer’s spirit and dedication for her work.
