Coronavirus pandemic has affected US-China Trade deal, Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump said that he was very disappointed in China over its failure to control coronavirus pandemic and that the pandemic has raised concern over its trade deal with Beijing.

According to details, the US and China have signed a Phase 1 trade deal in January and Republican President had welcomed it as a major achievement.

Donald Trump said to a media source, “I’m very disappointed in China,”

“They should have never let this happen. So I make a great trade deal and now I say this doesn’t feel the same to me.

The ink was barely dry and the plague came over. And it doesn’t feel the same to me,”

He also said about Chinese President Xi Jinping, “But I just right now I don’t want to speak to him. I don’t want to speak to him,”

A Phase 1 trade deal was made between the United States and China. In this deal, Beijing promised to buy at least $200 billion in additional US goods and services over two years. Whereas, the US agreed to decrease tariffs on Chinese goods in stages.

US And China Sign Trade Agreement

The US and China had joined hands with an agreement to ease trade relations. BOL News reported on 16th January.

US President Donald Trump had declared that the agreement would be “transformative” for the betterment of the US economy.

The agreement was made to ease the trade war that has affected the global economy. Chinese officials had said that this agreement will help develop good relations between the US and China.

Chinese officials named the agreement a “win-win”. China promised to increase US imports by $200bn more than 2017 levels. China has also promised to boost the property rules of the countries.
