The General Presidency, which is in charge of the administration of the Holy Mosque in Saudi Arabia, has installed self-sterilization gates at the entrances of the Grand Mosque to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
A statement from Harmain’s account on the social networking site Twitter said: “The Presidency launched a temporary experiment of the advanced self-sterilization gates at Masjid Al Haram. If the experiment is successful, only thereafter it will be implemented in various parts of Masjid Al Haram.”

Earlier in April, Kingdom Saudi Arabia has installed Thermal cameras in the wake of COVID-19 spread to monitor the body temperature of all the people who visit the Prophetā€™s (PBUH) Mosque in Madina.
The official Saudi Press Agency stated that the thermal cameras can screen the accurateĀ temperatures of more than 25 people at once.
The automated camera devices can provide an immediate audio and visual reading of every person who enter the Prophet’s mosque and devices has a vast range of nine meters.
The captured images and recorded temperatures can be saved for more than one month for reference and the devices also have the ability to send them directly to concerned specialists remotely when needed.
