Dr Anthony Fauci, a key member of the White House COVID-19 task force, has announced to enter a ‘modified quarantine’ as he came in contact with a staffer at White House who contracted Coronavirus.

Dr Anthony Fauci told media officials that he will work from home and will wear mask for 14 days to avoid the spread of the virus.

The Physician said that he had been tested for the coronavirus already and the result was negative.

He has played a significant role in the US government’s fight against the deadly pandemic. He regularly appeared alongside President Donald Trump to hold White House briefings to provide best advice to the nation.

Moreover, Katie Miller, a spokesperson for vice president Mike Pence, has also tested positive.

Dr Fauci joins two other members of the coronavirus task force who are already self-quarantining: Stephen Hahn, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration Commissioner, and Director Robert Redfield, head of the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
