Social media giant Twitter will allow some of its employees to work from home ‘forever’ if they want.

Twitter has not yet revealed which employees can avail of this opportunity. But the company has announced this decision considering the experience of working from home.

Twitter’s vice president of people, Jennifer Christie said to the international news source, “If our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen,”

“If not, our offices will be their warm and welcoming selves, with some additional precautions, when we feel it’s safe to return.”

According to the statement, Twitter is likely to open most of its offices or support business travel until September. The company has also canceled all of its events.

Earlier, Google and Facebook had confirmed that they permit several workers to keep working remotely through the end of the year.

Both Facebook and Google are going to reopen businesses, but they have given work from home flexibility to the workers.

Facebook has decided to reopen its offices from July 6 as lockdown eases.

However, he also said that those who can work from home can do so until the end of the year.
