Global coronavirus cases pass 10 million tolls on Sunday.

According to a Reuters tally, there are 10,086,969 confirmed cases of the contagious coronavirus.

Out of this figure, 501,393 have lost their battle against the virus whereas 5,464,271 have recovered.

On the other hand, there are 4,121,305 active cases of Covid-19 out of which 4,063,484 are in mild condition whereas 57,821 are in serious or critical condition.

Italy has reported the lowest day-to-day tally of coronavirus deaths since March 1. There are 240,136 confirmed cases. Out of these, 34,716 have died and 188,584 have recovered.

The US has the highest number of infections as it has crossed 2.5 million marks. According to the Johns Hopkins University tally, 128,152 have died whereas 1,081,437 have recovered. Over 1,386,948 cases are active in the US.

On the other hand, Brazil has the second-highest number of confirmed cases. It has reported 38,693 new infections in the last 24 hours. The health ministry reported 1,109 new deaths. Over 1,313,667 cases have been registered and 57,070 have died. Over 542,933 cases are active and 715,905 have recovered.

China has reported 17 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, mostly in the capital city.

According to details, The National Health Commission said 17 new infections were confirmed, down from 21 a day earlier.

In Beijing, 14 new confirmed cases were reported, down from 17 a day earlier.

Since June 11 when Beijing reported its first case in the current novel coronavirus outbreak, stemming from a sprawling wholesale food center in the southwest of the capital, 311 people in the city of more than 20 million have contracted the virus.
